♫ JANUARY ♫
1. Ed Sheeran – “Shape of You”
He’s back, people! Kick out the beginning of 2017 with not only one, but two new tracks. But me, myself, and I prefer Shape of You, than Castle on the Hill. Sway me around through this galloping percussion beat. Like he invites us to a promising conversation at the bar.
Fave Part: Last night you were in my room / And now my bedsheets smell like you //
2. Ellie Goulding – “Still Falling For You”
The only figure who pop-up in my head whenever this song comes out is Bridget Jones. No matter how many times she made flaws and scars, she will always be the queen of Mark Darcy.
Fave Part: This love is like letters in bold // This love is like out of control // This love’s never growing old // You make it new // Still falling for you //
3. Cast of Rent – “Seasons of Love”
Allow me to take you to one of my most beloved musical opening. No choreography, no visual effect, no glitz and glam costumes. Simply just a modest, yet pacifying choir. You might wanna listen to this endearing tuneful tonight.
Fave Part: Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes // How do you measure a year in the life? //
4. Mac Miller feat. Ariana Grande – “My Favorite Part”
Chill out tempo. Repeated melody. Affectionate lyrics. PIP (Picture in Picture) MV. It is the clarity of mad love between Mac and Ari. This real-life-unexpected couple have made the most effortless duet, yet it sounds so good.
Fave Part: It’ll be alright / babe // See me / I got you covered // I’m gon’ be your lover / You might be the one //
5. Bruno Mars – “Versace On The Floor”
I caught up the chorus for the first time while watching Carpool Karaoke with James Corden. And folks, I can’t help myself but repeating it again and again. I swear with this kind of slow jam attitude, Bruno is officially one of the sexiest man alive.
Fave Part: Take it off for me / for me / for me / for me / now girl //
