Ed Sheeran’s ÷ (Divide Album, 2017)

If you think Shape of You (which in fact originally written for Rihanna) and Castle On The Hill are the greatest weapons on his third album, now I’m telling you, HELL THEY’RE NOT!

Love confession is still the main distribution of Ed Sheeran‘s ideas. But feel free to apply it for your lover, friends, family, or even someone whom you’d like to thank to. Get down to these shimmering and magical records. I have pick out the sweetest 5 you need to drag immediately into your playlist.

1. Galway Girl

Let’s kick it with this fiddle-licious composition which, ladies and gents, will easily light up your day. I’m so popeyed by the way he delivered a throwback story about one perfect night he spent with an Irish girl. RIP repeat button!

Fave Part: I / walked her home / then she took me inside // Finish some Doritos and another bottle of wine // I swear I’m going to put you in a song that I write // About a Galway girl / and a perfect night //

2. Perfect

Second one is a repeatable pop template called “Perfect”. Bundled with the gladdening sound of strings orchestra. Some of us might be too lucky to spend the rest of our lives with someone who came from our childhood. Ain’t that right?

Fave Part: When you said you looked a mess // I whispered underneath my breath // But you / heard it / darling you look perfect tonight //

3. Dive

Baby got me feeling blues! It took me just 10 seconds to instantly deposit a huge crush on this track. Serves you a profound honesty about starting new relationships. And boy, that solo guitar interlude by John Mayer is totally seductive.

Fave Part: You’re a mystery // I have travelled the world / and there’s no other girl / like you / no one // What’s your history? // Do you have a tendency to lead some people on? // Cause I / heard you do //

4. Supermarket Flower

Surprisingly, Ed said this is the most special song he wrote on the album. It talks figuratively about his beloved grandmother. The line is just poignant, yet emotional inside. I really think this song taught us the art of letting go.

Fave Part: Dad always told me don’t you cry when you’re down // But Mum / there’s a tear every time that I blink //

5. Barcelona

As the final dessert, allow me to turn up this Spanish rhythm. Visualize we are all drinking Mojito and dancing around La Sagrada Familia under the heat of spring 2017. Shake that booty, señorita!

Fave Part: Spin you around me again and again and / you’re like something that God has sent me // I want you baby / solamente //
