Crazy Rich Asians (Jon M. Chu, 2018)

Must say, this one is an absolute eye-opener for Hollywood, because we need more badass-but-real Asian stories to be told like this. Especially the character development is being well written. Alright, we have seen pretty much stories bout how woman’s modesty became a magnet for billionare guys. But then, that is not what is all about.

What makes me falling over heels for Crazy Rich Asians is simply how they inject a dose of Asian family culture representation, and it turned out to be the core. They way we take off our shoes everytime we about to enter the house. The way we make homemade dumpling. The we way we behave in an airplane. The way we introduce our beloved one to the family, and even so much more. Race proximity at its best!

If you’re looking for a good laugh this weekend, then this 2018 romantic-comedy should be the one on your list. Very crowd-pleasing. IMMA SWAYED!
